Checking Accounts

FREE Founder's Checking - There's no minimum balance required and you may write as many checks per month as you please with no per check charge.  Also, there is no Direct Deposit requirement., and you have FREE access to more than 28,000 CO-OP Network ATMs.  

Interest Checking - Write as many checks per month as you please.  There is no per check charge. This checking is also FREE when you maintain a $2,500 minimum balance. You will also earn dividends on this checking by maintaining the $2,500 balance.

Convenience Checking - Write as many checks per month as you please. There is no per check charge and this account is FREE when you sign up for Direct Deposit or when you have a Dow CU loan or line of credit. There's no minimum balance required. If you choose not to have Direct Deposit or a loan product at the credit union the monthly service charge is mere $5 per month.

Savings Accounts

Regular Share Savings Account - This is the basis for your membership in the credit union. A minimum of $20 plus a non-refundable $5 membership fee will establish your membership at the credit union. Dividends are paid quarterly on this Savings Account. Minimum balance required to avoid $5 monthly maintenance fee is only $100.

Rate Chaser - This tiered account requires a minimum of $2,500 to open and pays dividends comparable to Money Market Accounts at other financial institutions. The higher your balance the more you can earn!

Club Account - This special purpose Savings Account allows you to save money for the holidays, vacations, and your children’s education. It provides you with a secure way of “socking” money away.

 

 

 

 

 

Certificate Accounts - These accounts let you deposit your money for a specific rate for a specified period. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years. The longer the term the better the dividend rate!

IRAs or Individual Retirement Accounts - Save money for your retirement. We have Passbook IRAs or Certificate IRAs. Contributions and Withdrawals to IRAs are subject to IRS rules and early distribution may be subject to penalties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other Services
Visa Debit/ATM Card - With your credit union Visa Debit/ATM Card you can make unlimited account inquiries and unlimited transfers between your credit union accounts. You may also make "Explore" network point-of-sale transactions at the many merchants linked to Explore. Your first three ATM cash withdrawals at non-Co-op ATMs are free, after which we will access your account $1 for each subsequent cash withdrawal. Please note: many financial institutions assess a separate surcharge for use of their ATMs.

Visa Gift or Travel Money Cards - You may purchase Visa Gift or Travel Money Cards from the       credit  union. The Gift Cards make wonderful presents for weddings, graduations and birthdays! The Travel Money cards mean you can leave your Debit card or other charge cards safely at home when you are on vacation or business. 

Online Banking through Virtual Branch . Through Internet Access once you click on the link in the credit union's web site you have access to - BankIT or PayIT. BankIT allows you to access your balance information, transfer funds and obtain account history information on any of your credit union accounts! With PayIT, you can pay your bills from your checking account and obtain payment history. Do either anytime or anywhere from any PC!

• PayIt bill paying service is FREE in any month during which you have one of the following:

CUDL - Credit Union Direct Lending - If you wish to purchase a car at one of the many dealers displaying the CUDL logo, you no longer have to make a second trip to the credit union to arrange for financing! The dealer can send us the data requesting your funding at the credit union. Just be sure to tell the dealer to "CUDL" it....and tell them you want to have your loan through Dow Great Western Credit Union!
